Any one here watch neon genesis evangelion?

Ive never seen it but can anyone thats seen it tell me wether or not its worth watching

To put it simply: Yes.

To elaborate: Without spoiling it for you, it's a very different take on the action/mecha genres in that it has very strong psychological elements to it, as well as the characters having realistic flaws. You can almost feel what the characters are going through, especially in some of the stronger scenes. It's also quite dark. If you watch it, you'll understand. In my opinion it's brilliant series and remains one of my top 5 franchises to this day.

And if/when you finish the original series, check out the Rebuild movies. They will absolutely blow your mind.

Yea...I watch the whole series including the End of Evangelion and Death/Rebirth of Evangelion movies.. as well as the rebuild movies.

However, I do agree with Patrick (raharu) about the whole series and the rebuild.

As a whole, its a good series to watch. Just mind blowing.....xD

Much like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis is another epic anime that I have yet to experience for myself.

Evangelion is indeed the word epic even if I haven't seen the actual show. Still, I feel at least the show and movies are more entertaining than watching something like The Looney Tunes Show XD

Evagelion is pretty complicated story-wise (near the end anyways otherwises it pretty straightforward). The action scenes are amazing and the fact that giant robots that only function with a few minutes of battery life kind of makes it more realistic. In other words this one is definitely one you should check out.

Seen a few episodes here and there and I own the first movie. It's a great series. :'D
